Arknights Figure Buying Guide: Which Scale to Choose for Your Collection

Arknights has become a beloved franchise among gamers and collectors, and the demand for high-quality figures has skyrocketed. With so many options available, choosing the right scale figure can be overwhelming. This guide will help you navigate the world of Arknights figures, focusing on the most common scales and what they offer.

Whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting out, understanding the differences in size, detail, and price will ensure you make a purchase that fits your space and budget. Let's dive into the key factors to consider when selecting your next Arknights figure.

Understanding Figure Scales

Figure scales are a standardized way to describe the size of a figure relative to the character's actual height. For example, a 1/7 scale figure means that the figure is one-seventh the height of the character. Common scales include 1/8, 1/7, and 1/6. The larger the denominator, the smaller the figure.

In the Arknights line, you'll often see 1/7 scale figures, which offer a good balance between detail and display space. These figures typically stand around 20-25 cm tall, making them prominent but not overwhelming. For those who want even more presence, 1/6 scale figures are larger, often exceeding 30 cm, and allow for incredible detail.

• 1/8 scale: Compact and affordable, great for tight spaces.
• 1/7 scale: The most popular choice, offering a balance of size and detail.
• 1/6 scale: Large and detailed, ideal for centerpiece displays.

Comparing Popular Scales

When choosing an Arknights figure, consider your display space and budget. A 1/7 scale figure like the [Pre-order] Wuthering Waves - Jinhsi 1/7 Scale Figure APEX is a fantastic example of this size, offering intricate details and a striking presence without dominating your shelf. On the other hand, if you prefer a more compact option, a 1/8 scale might be more suitable, though it may lack some of the finer details.

For collectors who want the ultimate display piece, 1/6 scale figures are the way to go. They are often more expensive and require more space, but they deliver an unmatched level of detail and realism. Consider your room layout and how many figures you plan to display before committing to a scale.

• Measure your shelf space before purchasing.
• Consider the weight of larger figures; ensure shelves are sturdy.
• Think about future acquisitions and how they'll fit together.

Material and Build Quality

Arknights figures are typically made from PVC or ABS plastic, which are durable and allow for fine detailing. The quality of the paint job and the stability of the base are crucial. Look for figures with a solid base to prevent tipping, especially for larger scales.

Some figures come with interchangeable parts or accessories, adding to their value. For example, the [Pre-order] BanG Dream! - Ritsu Minetsuki Nendoroid Good Smile Company offers a chibi style with multiple face plates and poses, making it a fun addition to any collection. While not an Arknights figure, it shows the variety available in the market.

• Check for any known quality issues in reviews.
• Ensure the figure is from a reputable manufacturer.
• Look for figures with extra accessories for more display options.

Price and Value

Price is a significant factor when choosing a figure. Larger scales and higher detail typically come with a higher price tag. However, you can find great deals on pre-owned figures or during sales. It's essential to set a budget and stick to it, but also be open to investing in a piece that truly speaks to you.

Consider the long-term value of the figure. Limited editions or figures from popular characters may appreciate in value over time. For instance, the [Pre-order] Azur Lane - Kearsarge (Springtime Monitoring Ver.) 1/6 Scale Figure Phat Company is a stunning piece that could become a sought-after collectible. While not Arknights, it demonstrates how certain figures become highly desirable.

• Compare prices across different retailers.
• Look out for pre-order bonuses or discounts.
• Factor in shipping costs and import fees.

Where to Buy Arknights Figures

When purchasing Arknights figures, it's crucial to buy from reputable sources to avoid counterfeit products. Official retailers and trusted online stores like Nekotwo offer authentic figures with proper licensing. Always check for official licensing and packaging to ensure authenticity.

Pre-ordering is a common practice for popular figures, as they often sell out quickly. By pre-ordering, you secure your figure at the initial price and guarantee availability. However, be aware of release dates and potential delays.

• Buy from authorized dealers to ensure authenticity.
• Pre-order early for limited editions.
• Read customer reviews before making a purchase.
